NEW COMPANY OBLIGATION_ RCBE

The deadline for delivery of the declaration of the Central Registry of the Efective Beneficiary (in Portuguese, RCBE) is in progress. In practical terms, the RCBE is a database, managed by the Institute of Registries and Notaries, where it will be included the identification elements of single people who, directly or through third parties, hold ownership or effective control of a company or similar entity.

The main objective of RCBE is to organize and keep up-to-date the identification and information on the effective beneficiaries of the entities covered by it, in order to promote transparency in trade relations and compliance with the duties of preventing and combating the money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
