THERE ARE ALMOST 40 THOUSAND NEW COMPANIES IN PORTUGAL SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR

Until August 31, 2019, 33968 new companies were created in Portugal, more 3348 (plus 9.8%) than in the same period of 2018, when the record of constitution of companies was broken in the country.

All districts gain new companies compared to 2018, but Setúbal, Braga, Aveiro and Faro confirm a great entrepreneurial dynamism. In the whole, these four districts saw 8697 new companies flourishing, representing a third of the total growth, taking some of the leading role of the districts of Lisbon and Porto, which, although, maintain the leadership in terms of number of new companies.
