SUSTAINABILITY SCORE IN THE FASHION WORLD

More than a hundred guests participated yesterday in the 1st Edition of the GREENEST FASHION EVENT, where sustainability practices were evidenced in favor of a better world.

Lisbon, May 23, 2019: fulfilled the goal of the 1st Edition of the Greenest Fashion Event, the mentor and promoter of this initiative, Daniela Sá, is proud of the success achieved yesterday, in the presence of more than a hundred guests and supporters of "sustainability” who have lived a unique experience, related to the world of fashion. Inescapable was the presence of the actors Joana Seixas and Madalena Brandão, "Ambassadors” of this edition, whose support was evident, assuming by principle a more conscious philosophy of life, a reflection of the shared contents in their new blog.

The space Free Art, in Avenida da Liberdade, was elected to host this initiative, which culminated in a more conscious networking moment, accompanied by a vegan cocktail, by Impacto Catering & Events.

The opening was in charge of Pedro Norton de Matos, mentor of GreenFest – the biggest sustainability festival in Portugal, referring to the new age of sustainability in several sectors, namely in fashion and technology. It followed the "Fast Talks”, with the intervention of Janet Angel, of the Green Chemistry Forum; Joana Cunha, founder of the Fair Bazaar and Catalyst platform; Ângela Morgado, Executive Director of the Nature Association Portugal, in association with WWF – World Wide Fund for Nature; Manuela Ribeiro, fashion designer, who presented her project based on sustainability for the millennials and Claudia Silva from Woman in Tech.

The closing was one of the most expected moments of the night, with the parade of the new Najha Collection, original creations of Daniela Sá, which privilege ecologic cork and organic bargains as main materials of the garments, suitcases and footwear. Under the thematic "TRIBE”, this collection was highlighted with choreographies of Tribal Dancing, by Ana Cristina Gonçalves.

The success of this 1st edition of Greenest Fashion Event was the beginning of a new challenge which act as a reinforcement of the ideology and a real applicability of the sustainable strand connected with fashion.
