Smurfit Kappa expands its TopClip range for cans with a specific solution for SMEs

Smurfit Kappa has expanded its sustainable TopClip portfolio with a new version for small and medium-sized companies in the beverage sector.

The cardboard packaging system positions itself as an alternative to the retractable plastic film used to group the multipack beverage packages and, in addition, it works as a communication channel to continue promoting the brand.

With a carbon footprint 30% lower than that of other packaging systems, TopClip is 100% renewable, recyclable and biodegradable and does not include plastics in its composition. As it uses less material and does not require gluing, it is also more sustainable.

This new system, designed for small and medium-sized juice or beer companies, for example, follows the launch of the high-speed packaging machine with KHS, which allows the company to have a set of complete solutions for all types of companies , including automation for each type and size. Thus, from now on, Smurfit Kappa will be able to supply TopClip products, both to multinationals that need high-speed machines, as well as to smaller breweries or juice brands.

This is the case of the Czech brewer Pivovar Clock, which trusted Smurfit Kappa as they started using TopClip in its 500 millilitre cans.
