SELF-EMPLOYED ENTREPRENEURS MAY ALREADY ASK FOR SUBSIDIES FROM APOIAR.PT

Self-employed entrepreneurs, without organized accounting and with dependent workers, can now apply for the non-refundable subsidies from Apoiar.pt. Through this program, beneficiaries receive a check equivalent to 20% of their billing losses, with a maximum limit of five thousand euros.

The notice for the submission of applications was published this Thursday, and covers self-employed entrepreneurs, in a simplified accounting regime, with dependent workers and who fit into one of the sectors most affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
In order to have access, they need to register losses of at least 25% (in 2020 compared to 2019), with support equivalent to 20% of this decrease in turnover, with the maximum limit of five thousand euros.

In the case of entrepreneurs whose activity is suspended or closed because of confinement, it is predicted an increase in this ceiling, which will increase to 12,500 thousand euros. These limits were recently enforced, along with the imposition of the new phase of confinement.
Support is awarded under the form of a non-refundable grant and, according to the notice, there are 50 million euros separate for this purpose. In fact, it is fixed that the applications will only end when this allocation is exhausted.

"The submission of applications is made via Balcão 2020, through an electronic form made available on the Incentive System platform for PT2020 companies″, one may read in the notice.
