GOVERNMENT SIGNS SECTORIAL PACTS WITH RECOGNIZED CLUSTERS

In the framework of the Program Interface, it will take place in Aveiro, on September 11, the signing ceremony of the Sectorial Pacts for Competitiveness and Internationalization celebrated between the Ministry of Economy and some of the Clusters recognized by IAPMEI in 2017.

After the first six agreements signed in March and April of 2019, the Government now celebrates more 10 Sectorial Pacts with the Clusters: AED Cluster, Portuguese Railway Platform; Petrochemical Competitiveness Cluster, Industrial Chemistry and Refining, Footwear and Fashion Cluster, Portuguese Sea Cluster, Portugal Mineral Resources Cluster, Sustainable Habitat Cluster, Smart Cities Portugal Cluster, Textile Cluster: Technology and Fashion and TICE.PT.

Check the program and apply to participate in the ceremony, which will be attended by the Deputy Minister and Minister of Economy, Pedro Siza Vieira.

The Sectorial Pacts for Competitiveness and Internationalization are part of a set of new initiatives in the fields of industrial digitalization (i4.0), human resources training, the consolidation of the country’s external attractiveness factors, in the internationalization and the promotion of research and development, encouraging the development of a Circular Economy and an efficient energy and ecological transition, as well as in the improvement of the regulatory and legal capacity of companies.

The objective is to mobilize the civil society towards a common strategy and mission, associated with to the networking dynamics, inducing the development of collaborative initiatives oriented towards the achievement of collective efficiency objectives.

IAPMEI will ensure, whenever necessary, the articulation with the public entities in accordance with their specific missions and articulation nature with the Clusters.

The clusters who already signed the Sectorial Pacts for Competitiveness and Internationalization are: Health Cluster Portugal, Portuguese Agrofood Cluster, AEC Cluster - Architecture, Engineering and Construction, MOBINOV – Automative Cluster, Produtech – Production Technologies and Engineering and Tooling Cluster.
