FAURECIA CREATES 100 JOBS IN SANTA MARIA DA FEIRA
The French company of the car sector Faurecia will install a new administrative and development unit in Santa Maria da Feira. About 100 new jobs should be created.
The emergence of the new unit comes as a result of the relocation of its services from Western Europe and North Africa.
Therefore, the new labor unit will be installed in the industrial area of Roligo, in Espargo, where there are already 50 people handling the beginning of the work.
The Mayor of the city, Emídio Sousa, said that the change should happen in the first half of next year. About 300 employees of the company will also be displaced to the new unit that creates 100 new jobs.
"I am pleased that Faurecia has chosen Santa Maria da Feira," said the Mayor, referring to a move from "low wages" to "the employability of qualified personnel with higher wages."
