DANIELA SÁ IS INVITED TO INTEGRATE GROUP OF INTERNATIONAL SCIENTISTS

Daniela Sá, a designer from Fiães, Santa Maria da Feira, who has been distinguished by the work developed in her brand Najha – Cork Fashion, already named for several awards, including "Innovation and Entrepreneurship" by the Embassy of the United States of America (USA) and appointment by the Fashion Festival Film for best brand film, was invited to join a group of international scientists from the US and European Union (EU) for sustainability, called the Collaborative Forum. The request came after an invitation to the conference on SMEs in Europe and the US, organized by the European Union and the US Embassy, which took place in Austria, where she intervened on her cork brand and the sustainability of this industry. The objective of the Collaborative Forum is the cooperation among the various members for the development of sustainable and ecological solutions in the different areas and industries. The first meeting was held on December 13, via online, with scientists from the various countries involved, organized by the US headquarters.

Daniela Sá believes that "we still have a lot to show to the world, being the cork industry an example for sustainability”. It is with this goal in mind that she wants to "make known all these practices through the work she develops in design for Najha”.

Business Trail passes through Santa Maria da Feira

The Business Trail, organized in partnership by AJEPC (Association of Young Entrepreneurs Portugal-China) and Daniela Sá, of Najha company, brought to the Municipality 40 businessmen from several countries who visited the sector of Cork and some of the local icons of Santa Maria da Feira. During four days these entrepreneurs were in contact with some of the entrepreneurs and companies of the cork sector, namely with Dimas & Silva, Lda., with the presence of APCOR, Oliveira e Alves and by the workshop Najha, knowing thus the raw cork until it reaches bags, corks and decorative. The businessmen also visited, with the support of the City Hall, the Feira Castle, Lóios Convent, Europarque and Perlim. Feira was the fifth Municipality where the Business Trail passed, having started its journey in Lisbon, passing through Vila Franca de Xira, Póvoa de Varzim and Porto.
