COVID-19: HYPERMARKET FROM SANTA MARIA DA FEIRA CREATES SPECIAL TIME FOR DOCTORS AND CIVIL PROTECTION

The E. Leclerc hypermarket in Santa Maria da Feira announced today a specific schedule for health professionals, firefighters and security forces, so that they can avoid contact with other customers.

According to a source from this commercial place, in the Aveiro district, and located about a kilometer away from the headquarters of the Centro Hospitalar do Entre Douro e Vouga, the measure is also being implemented in the brand's hypermarkets in Famalicão and Entroncamento.

"Taking into consideration the current state of emergency, E. Leclerc of Santa Maria da Feira can’t remain indifferent to those who give everything for our safety" said a source from the administration of that space.

Therefore, the hypermarket starts to open every day from 7 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., specifically for health professionals, firefighters and police forces in possession of the proper "proof" of functions, so that they can "make purchases without any contact with the rest of the public", which will only be allowed to get in the hypermarket after 9 a.m.

The administration calls for consumer restraint, stressing that "there are no logistical and operational constraints in the food product supply chain that justify the practice of hoarding by the population".
