The business sector of the activities of general mechanics (CAE 25620) is led by Cimontubo – Pipes and Welding, Lda., which occupies the position 106 in the ranking of the 1,500 largest companies of the district of Aveiro.

The company based on Argoncilhe, in Santa Maria da Feira, had, in 2018, a turnover of 29.98 million euros, 70.78% less than the 110.15 million euros that had been invoiced in the previous year.

In 2018, Cimontubo achieved a net profit of 5.04 million euros, which, compared to the 1.08 million euros of 2017, reflects a 366.32% growth in profits.

As for GVA, the drop was 9.62%, since that of the 19.43 million euros obtained in 2017, the company registered 17.56 million euros the following year.

The second place of the podium is occupied by Plano Férricos Portugal - Produtos Siderúrgicos, Soe.Unipessoal, Lda., which, in 2018, obtained a turnover of 6.80 million euros, a net result of 1.16 million euros and a GVA of 4.36 million euros.

In third position is Epalfer – Serralharia de Moldes, Cunhos e Cortantes, Lda, which, in the year under review, registered a turnover of 5.75 million euros, a net result of 369.19 thousand euros and a GVA of 3.19 million euros.
