BIZFEIRA: ECONOMIC WORLD CAME HOME

The history of the 2018 edition of BizFeira begins with the words of Emídio Sousa, the Mayor of Santa Maria da Feira, and with the impressive number of billion and four hundred thousand euros that corresponds to the value of the exports of our Municipality - a value that the Mayor wants to grow.

In this goal, the SMEs of Santa Maria da Feira play a fundamental role and it is necessary to boost their internationalization. BizFeira is such a lever: in one place, the SMEs have had entrepreneurs, representatives of chambers of commerce from various countries and economists who opened the economic doors of the world and explained how to do it and where to start. Graça Didier, the executive director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Portugal, demystified the paradigm of the United States, "the United States is a market for small, medium and even mini companies."

João Ribeiro, President of the Friendship Association between Portugal and Japan, shortened the distance to Japan saying "it is a luxury and highly profitable market", but one must learn the cultural mannerisms. The French Chamber of Commerce has shown that it has at its associates' disposal a number of activities that "allow to find contact with the companies that matter".

From Brazil came the "Bem me quer" cachaça that search for a representative and distributor for Portugal and the whole of Europe. Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, came for the first time to Santa Maia da Feira to introduce and captivate our entrepreneurs.

Individual and enlightening talks, above all free of the time constraints of those who have an agenda to fulfil, because these representatives have been in BizFeira with a purpose: to internationalize the SMEs of Santa Maria da Feira.
