ALPE helps to train in order to employ

ALPE (Local Agency for Employment), from Santa Maria da Feira, has just officialised the professional integration of 70 workers in Relprod, a factory from the Swiss company Multicuirs, built in Lusopark, located in São João de Ver, which dedicates itself to the production of leather bracelets for luxury watches.

Having made an evaluation of the recruitment process, selection and specialized training that it has developed, ALPE considers the model "Train to employ”, which "constitutes a green way to employment in the perspective of qualification, in coordination with the specialized training centers and companies, allows to make adapted training courses, in order to meet the effective needs of the companies and in which the trainees can assimilate the values, the working methods and the company’s techniques where, in the future, they will be integrated”.

Relprod inaugurated, in April, its new factory raised in an area of 16000 square meters in Lusopark, which offers modern and functional conditions to the around 70 employees who, after a period of specialized training, are prepared to contribute to a production of quality and then integrate the company’s staff.

The Relprod’s project was awarded by the National Institute for Employment and Professional Training with the Strategic Interest for the National Economy and intends to improve development, manufacture and production of luxury objects, including packing articles, mostly dedicated to the production of bracelets in leather to export, as well as high quality watch market.

Having the aim of manufacturing products of extremely high quality and high added value, ALPE underlines that the company needs to recruit qualified, motivated and highly skilled employees, as well as to implement "a culture of improvement in response to the high customers’ requirements.”

The company focus on the training and gives importance to the hiring based on a profile consonant with the will to learn and professional evolution, in a project that offers professional stability and opportunities of progression.

According to ALPE, "the quality and level of demand of the training imposed will provide a degree of competence and know-how that will represent an added professional and curricular appreciation” to the employees.

ALPE works at Cavaco, in Santa Maria da Feira, and provides free work and proximity with the companies, the unemployed, young people looking for their first job and entrepreneurs in the field of employment, training, business creation and social entrepreneurship.
